Derek joined Mason Technology in 2001 as a chromatography and mass spectrophotometry engineer. Having gained extensive knowledge in analytical chemistry instrumentation Derek was charged with the management and development of the analytical technical support team in Dublin before taking on the role of business development within the service department. Derek is responsible for business development, key customer support and third-party business support across Ireland and the UK.
Patrick joined Mason Technology in 2012 and leads the company’s General Laboratory business unit. As well as an honours science graduate of UCD he also possesses an H.Dip in Business and Information Systems from the UCD, Smurfit Graduate School of Business. Patrick has over 10 years’ experience across a number of market sectors including MedTech, Pharmaceutical and Academic & Government Funded Research. Patrick is responsible for a large portfolio of key global brands such as Eppendorf, BioTek, Faster, BioSpherix, Memmert, Tuttnauer, Dometic to name a few. To date Patrick has been involved on many different projects ranging in scale from laboratory refurbishment to new builds. Patrick has been involved in the introduction of new innovative technologies into the Irish market and will continue to seek and represent new agencies that will complement the Mason Technology brand now and in the future.
Gordon has been with Mason Technology since 1989. He began his career in Microscopy as a Service Engineer and built his way up to becoming a Olympus Microscopy Business Unit Manager with Mason Technology. With service and sales experience he has a diverse knowledge in microscopy and imaging across a large number of market sectors including Medical Device, Clinical, Pharmaceutical, Academia and all areas where imaging is a core requirement of research. As Microscopy has developed from standalone instruments to advanced software controlled systems Gordon has worked with numerous third party companies to develop solutions for customers that are specific to their needs. This skill set has encouraged him to look for niche solutions that keep his Business Unit focused on changing customer application.
Jenny Lanigan joined Mason Technology in 2011. As an Olympus Product Specialist she heads up the sales activities for Microscopy and Digital Imaging in the Clinical, Pharmaceutical, Academia, Medical Device and Research market sectors in Ireland. Jenny has a 1st class joint honours Degree in Genetics/Zoology from University College Dublin. She attends training sessions with Olympus on a regular basis for product and application to keep up to date. Jenny has always worked in customer facing roles and has great empathy and therefore understands the customer needs. Having identified the importance for Compliance Software for Microscopy she is leading the rollout of the PAX-it!’s portfolio in the Irish and UK regulated market. Jenny has overseen the development and release of the latest PAX-it! software.
Chris Bradley joined Mason Technology 9 years ago as a product specialist in Microscopy and has been promoted as the Northern Ireland Manager. He has trained in Olympus and has an extensive knowledge of the products and applications. Chris graduated from with a BSC in Biological Sciences from Queens University Belfast. He worked in a laboratory environment before moving to a technical sales role which he held for 6 years before taking up his current position. He is now responsible for the sales of a large portfolio of laboratory equipment while he still maintains his specialisation in Microscopy across all market sectors in Northern Ireland.
With over 20 year’s industry experience, Mandy Nolan is the Quality Manager for Mason Technology for the more than 10 years. Mandy is knowledgeable in the manufacturing and supply chain sphere covering the Pharmaceutical, Chemical Manufacturing, Automotive/ Electronic, Logistics, Metrological and Service sectors. Mandy has a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and an MSc in Engineering Technology from University College Dublin. Mandy is the main point of contact for Quality within Mason Technology and is responsible for delivering Quality support to our customers. Mandy has worked with a number of accreditation standards inclusive of but not limited to ISO 9001 and ISO 17025. She is experienced in project management; dealing with suppliers/ customers; internal and external auditing (both regulatory and customer audits); system administration (document control, corrective/ preventive actions and training); technical support in a number of fields; data integrity; process control and continual improvement.
Paul Joined Mason Technology in 2005.He has his Masters in Electronic Engineering and is now an advanced engineer focusing on high end instrumentation and strategic company projects. Paul is factory trained in Olympus, JRI, Mettler Toledo, IKA and Camag and is the only factory trained confocal microscope engineer in Ireland. He previously worked in a US multinational and worked in the software and hardware support group. Paul is our lead engineer for the Installation and Qualification of PAX-it! software in Ireland and the UK.
